The Challenge

BUSINESS SOLUTIONS COMPANY Inc. (BSC)* is a Fortune 100 enterprise headquartered in the UK. It wanted to centralize marcom production workflow to increase quality, improve communication and reduce costs.

Solution

BSC adopted a modified version of PGe's Marcom Production and E-Procurement System (MPS), which tracks, organizes and controls production elements. The web-based system also tenders projects to select suppliers for competitive bidding - eliminating personal supplier biases, boosting quality and reducing costs.

After studying BSC's procurement practices, PGe's project-management experts proposed a more efficient workflow. Our technicians then developed a new version of the online application software, using the latest technology, to meet BSC's specific needs.

Results

BSC's head office was able to regain control over print, web, desk-top publishing, and other marcom services, replacing branch offices' varying approaches and procurement practices with a single, accountable process. This generated greater brand consistency, higher production quality and considerable cost savings.

It also created a model for monitoring all of the company's procurement practices - a growing concern in these days of Sarbanes-Oxley.

Most importantly, the formal bidding process enables BSC to collaborate more closely with a smaller, higher-quality group of suppliers - generating more efficient production runs and more productive relationships.

BSC saved money, boosted efficiency, and professionalized its production processes serving more than two dozen international offices. PGe delivered on time and under budget.
